Code Blauw

Code Blauw

G.S.Z.V. De Golfbreker is a student swimming club where fun is paramount, and an open atmosphere prevails. It is an important fact that nothing is required at De Golfbreker; everything is free of obligation. To ensure this, among other things, the Royal Dutch Swimming Association (KNZB) established Code Blauw (Code Blue).

Code Blue is committed to a sporty and safe swimming climate. The intention is that everyone can interact positively with each other, both inside and outside the pool. Code Blue stands for: respect, sportsmanship, safety, and fun.

At De Golfbreker, we find it extremely important to be able to swim, party and go to activities as fun and safe as possible.

1.  Code of Conduct

To ensure all this, various documents have been drawn up within the association that all members must adhere to. The Code of Conduct is the most important in this. It describes exactly what is and what is not tolerated within the association.

2. Confidential Contact Person

Potential problems can always be raised with the board. If this is not an option, or if you prefer to discuss matters anonymously with someone, there are several options. A confidential contact person has been appointed within the association that you can contact at any time. If you prefer to talk outside the association, the ACLO and KNZB also have people you can turn to. Finally, there is the possibility to seek for contact through various methods on the website of Centrum Veilig Sport Nederland (Centrum for safe sport Netherlands) (CVSN). Below are all links to the different options.

2.1 Confidential Contact Person G.S.Z.V. De Golfbreker

"Hi dear Golfbrekers!
My name is Linne Boerma. I've been swimming almost all my life and I've been at De Golfbreker for 4 years now. In the first year, I was on the Travel Committee and got to organise a fun trip. The 2nd year, I was on the Sponsorship Committee. In the 3rd year, I was Chairwoman of the Travel Committee and we organised 2 great trips.
I have enjoyed attending almost all activities of De Golfbreker. I have made many new friends through De Golfbreker. I am in my final year of studying Social Work at the Hanzehogeschool and live in rooms in Groningen. I also dance. After having fulfilled the role of confidential contactperson for 3 years, I am going to do this again for the 4th year. I enjoy being there for you where necessary.
If you are struggling with something or just want to talk about something, feel free to send an email to vertrouwenspersoonvrouw@golfbreker.org."

"Heeihoi Golfbrekers,

My name is Frank Versprille. Since 2019, I have enjoyed being a member of our beautiful association and have served on various committees and the Board. At the moment, you can mainly know me as Chairman of the Lustrum committee. Together we will celebrate the sixth milestone in the association's existence with dignity!
After my bachelor's degree in Spatial Planning & Design, I took a few months off last year to teach many people the magic of skiing in beautiful Ischgl. Next year, you will be able to see my face more often at drinks, activities and, of course, first and foremost the training sessions. Outside De Golfbreker, I am active at my study association. Here too, I have done some committees and project groups, and I have been a confidential contact person before.
I was asked if I would like to be one of the confidential contact persons (CCPs) this season, together with Linne. To this, of course, I immediately said yes. If you have something on your mind, want to say something or just want to talk about something, please know that you can always contact me, send me an email or send me an e-mail. I like to offer a listening ear and can think along with you about whether something can possibly be done, or whether just talking is enough."
