ISSME

Dear Swim friends,

We are excited to announce to you that ESWZV Nayade will host the 2nd International Student Swim Meet Eindhoven (ISSME) on Friday the 14th and Saturday the 15th of May 2010. The meet will be organized in one of the fastest swimming pools in the Netherlands: The ‘Van Lint’ swimming pool on the campus of the University of Technology Eindhoven. Many (International) swimmers have set their personal best times here. Here is your chance to do the same!

Arrangements for the entire weekend have been made. Sleeping accommodations and food will be taken care of. The costs for the entire meet will not exceed 20 euro’s.

Arrival is planned for the day before the event, Thursday the 13th, and that night you can join us for an event pre-party where we will also celebrate the 49th birthday of Nayade.

Competition
The competition will be on Friday the 14th of May. Warming up will start at 13:00, the competition will start at 13:30. (Onderaan dit bericht het programma)

A trophy will be presented to the winner of the ‘Team ranking’ that day. Performances of all swimmers and relay’s will be given points according to the ‘FINA POINT SCORING FORMULA’ (http://www.swimrankings.net/files/FINA%20Point%20Scoring.pdf). The gained points of each team will be the sum of the top 10 performances of that team. Individual prizes will be awarded for the top 3 performances of men-events and the top 3 performances of women-events.

Party Shortly after the competition participants can enjoy a delicious dinner at the meet venue. The competition day will be finished in style: a great party will take place in our favorite bar in the city center of Eindhoven.
Theme of this party is: Going Dutch! So dress in your best orange outfit and speak your best ‘dinglish’, because you know what we say in Holland: ‘When the cat is away from house, the mouse’s dance on the table’.

Clinic Friday night, after the party, you will be able to spend another night in Eindhoven. When the majority is awake, we will begin serving breakfast. The meet will be concluded with an exclusive clinic from a swim-VIP.
